Abstract

Public Affairs training is undergoing profound changes in response to the transformation of the context of public action. The conference will rapidly sketch out these transformations and then focus in particular on four challenges: 1. How to avoid the public sector ghetto for public affairs training. 2. How to teach policy implementation. 3. The diversity of public policy constructions - the social and cultural embeddedness of public policy. 4. Dealing with highly differentiated and heterogeneous class-rooms.
